The Spire Hospital is part of the second largest private hospital group in the UK. It offers a comprehensive range of facilities and treatments. It has well equipped surgical theatres and comfortable en-suite accommodation. It is open to both insured and self-pay patients.

Nuffield Health is a not for profit organization. The Tunbridge Wells hospital has recently been refurbished, opening a new theatre complex and day case suite, and comfortable en-suite accommodation. It accepts both insured and self-pay patients.
Private Patient Fees
It is important to remember that the fees charged for Mr Hamann’s services do not cover the cost of hospital services, which are charged separately. In most cases, your insurance will cover the bulk of the hospital fees, but please check this. Private hospitals and clinics usually require credit card details on admission in order to cover any extras that are not being paid for by the insurance company. In the case of self-paying patients, both the Spire and Nuffield offer inclusive packages for treatment.

Common clinic procedures, specifically flexible/rigid nasendoscopy, microsuction of ears and nasal cautery, are included in the price of the consultation, however please note that the hospital will levy an additional fee for these procedures. Please get in touch if you require further information regarding this.
Referrals
Although Mr Hamann is happy to see patients without a GP referral, a referral letter is usually necessary for patients wishing to use their insurance. Patients are strongly advised to speak with their insurer prior to coming for their appointment to check to what extent they will be covered, and to make a note of any authorisation number.
